All mulch listed is priced per cubic yard. To view or order a particular type of mulch, click on the link on the right side of the page. Mulch can be picked up at our store at 3317 Brandon Avenue or can be delivered to you for a modest charge.
Delivery prices start at $25.00 for any size load. Additional delivery fees may apply for deliveries outside a 5 mile radius from our store. Mulch prices start at $26.00 per cubic yard for Natural Hardwood Mulch to $37.00 per cubic yard for Dyed Brown, Dyed Black, Dyed Red. All mulch is double shredded.
Most orders can be delivered the same day, but please allow 24 hours for delivery during peak season.
All of our mulch is made from the highest quality tree bark. No filler trees are used in any of our mulch. All hardwood mulch is made from various hardwood tree bark including Oaks, Maples and other Hardwood trees. It is all made from double shredded to provide a consistent material that will easily compost and provide a barrier for weeds, help retain moisture for your plants and provide an insulation against heat and cold temperatures.
Double Shredded Hardwood
Double Shredded Hardwood is a mixed hardwood mulch consisting of Oak, Maple and other hardwood tree bark. It is completely organic and no pesticides or other chemical treaments have been added. It is excellent for use in beds around your home and help suppress weeds, help reduce soil erosion and aides in holding moisture for your plants.

Dyed Brown Double Shredded Hardwood
Our Dyed Brown mulch is made from our Double Shredded Regular Brown mulch, but is processed by adding an organic dye that is completely safe for use around your home. Dyed Brown has a darker and richer color than the regular hardwood mulch. Also, it will maintain it's color for most of the season with minimal fading.

Double Shredded Hardwood Black Dyed
Our Dyed Black mulch is made from our Double Shredded Regular Brown mulch, but is processed by adding an organic dye that is completely safe for use around your home. The Department of Social Services of the Commonwealth of Virginia Standards for Licensed Child Day Centers says that to be in compliance with the National Handbook for Public Playground Safety it is important to follow these guidelines-
- Never use less than 9 inches of loose-fill material. Shallower depths are too easily displaced and compacted
- Loose-fill materials will compress at least 25% over time due to use and weathering. This must be considered when planning the playground. For example, if the playground will require 9 inches of wood chips, then the initial fill level should be 12 inches.
- Loose-fill surfacing requires frequent maintenance to ensure surfacing levels never drop below the minimum depth. Areas under swings and at slide exits are more susceptible to displacement; special attention must be paid to maintenance in these areas.
